Information and Steps to Apply:
1. Introduction: This program offers non-credit enrichment courses. During the 25 summers of 1994-2018, the courses were offered in the traditional classroom setting at George Mason University Fairfax campus. Starting 2019 summer, the courses are offered in the free online individually-paced setting as a year-round program. This change is for reaching out to more talented students so that they don’t have to worry about the transportation and the tuition. This is also to eliminate the parents’ worry about the safety of their children (minors) in an open college environment.
2. Subjects:
- Basic Algebra 1 (prerequisite: Pre-algebra)
- Basic Algebra 2 (prerequisite: Algebra 1 and Geometry)
- Basic Calculus AB (prerequisite: Pre-calculus).
3. Please note: Due to the nature of the online courses, the content of each course is concentrated on the computational skills. All communications are conducted through emails.
4. To register, please fill out the form below and send it by email to mtty@gmu.edu.
5. How it works:
- (a) After the registration, the students will receive a set of problems with examples.
- (b) After working out the problems and sending the answers back to talentedyouth@gmail.com, the students will receive the second set of problems, etc.
- (c) There are 5 sets of problems for each course.
- (d) The students will receive a Certificate of Participation after completing the 5 sets of problems with 80% correct.
